Arthritis : Inflammatory or degenerative changes to the joint cartilage, which leads to pain, decreased mobility, stiffness, decreased strength and function.
Tendonitis : Inflammation of the tendon in the wrist and fingers which leads to painful movements, decreased strength and function.
Sprain/ Strain : injury to the muscle or ligament of the wirst and fingers, causing pain, decreased strength and function.
Carpal tunnel syndrome : Compression of the median nerve at the wirst level, causing pain, numbness in the thumb, index and middle finger, decrease strength and function.
Dequrviens tenosynovitis : Inflammation of the tendon sheath of the thumb, causing pain, limited movement and function .
Trigger finger : Locking or clicking of the fingers, due to shortening of the tendon and thickening of the tendon sheath with or without nodule formation.
